Today’s commute photo is of my dads cool ocean front condo. (also the tulip one downtown campbell river). In the foreground is my Obama surfer dude, car, bobble head. Yes, he does have dried gum on his head.
I was considering taking it off my dash, over his lack of enviro concern – specifically oil money and war…. But last week I was so proud of him for risking his re-election by being the first president to ever go on record in favor of gay marriage. Unless you live under a rock, you heard about this announcement. I couldn’t resist reposting the other photos!
Here’s some wedding photos, in addition to the facebook ones I posted last week ~ from Mexico by the professional photog PUO Photography. I’ve got 250 professional shots, 80 from the Alberta reception and another 400 from mexico from friends. Facebook takes too long and this website has a limit, so email if you want more! I’ll make copies available etc to those that want them and publish a book or two that Aren started for us…eventually.lol.
Last week over on the facebook, I joined the craft 2011 movement of paying it forward. Within an hour of posting this in my status I saw the chain of events unfold, linking friends to friends with promises of making stuff. “Pay it forward 2011: I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who leave a comment here. They in turn must post this and send something they make to the first 5 people who comment on their status. The rules are that it must be handmade by you and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011”. I’m sending stuff to Annelli in the Saulte (though not on facebook I chose her to pay it forward), Donna in Calgary, Tigger in Hamilton? (plus another wedding gift of art to her), Nicole Marie in Nelson, Jen Swartz way north of Nelson and maybe to Dave L in Campbell. lol. So, sometime this year I will make them all something and mail it to them. I am getting something from Liisa in Duncan, for signing up on hers! What an excellent use of the internet for craft.
recent beachcombing scores. The pink bottle says "snuff powder" and there's a whistle of a scull. What else do you see?
This is a pretty cool tool on facebook this year ~ year in review of your status updates. Mine was enjoyable to reread for me and clearly wedding focused! Click on the photo to enlarge it, if it’s too hard to read.
I found this video by creeping one of Corey’s friends on fbk when I should be writing reports at work. Fantastic video – with almost 6 million views on youtube! When I think of Nina, I think of my growing LP collection that was inspired by Kate’s awesome jazz nerd Dad, Brian. HUGS to the south shore family… may Nina keep you warm.
